Hammad Rizvi is an award-winning writer and director, most notable for his films RANI (Hulu, Outfest LA, NBCU Short Film Festival), SUNNY SQUARE (Houston Worldfest), and ROAD TO PESHAWAR (PBS, Palm Springs Shortsfest).
Hammad is a third culture kid, a Pakistani-American who has lived in various parts of the world. As a result, his films often tackle topics that are as diverse as they are raw. He holds a BBA in finance and an MFA in film production from the University of Texas at Austin, and was awarded the Outstanding Writer Award at the NBCUniversal Short Film Festival.
Hammad lives and works in Texas, is working on his first feature film, and has yet to find a cure for the travel bug.
